The Guyana Cricket Board (GCB) female inter-county competition which was set to commence yesterday has been postponed due to the inclement weather.
The tournament which was set to get underway with two matches, has been postponed until further notice according to GCB’s Territorial Development Officer (TDO) Colin Stuart.
Stuart said the tourney will be played once the weather pattern changes and the condition of the fields are conducive for cricket. According to the former West Indian fast bowler, the GCB has a deadline of June 30th to submit their squad to the West Indies Cricket Board (WICB), so at the first available opportunity, the tournament would be played.
