The police say that investigations are being conducted into a fatal accident that occurred at about 1900h. last evening at Nismes Public Road, WBD, and which resulted in the death of Odessa Howard, 37 years, of Canal No.1, WBD.
Investigations have revealed that Howard was the pillion rider on a motor cycle ridden by her husband Peter Howard, 55 years, when they were struck down from behind by a motor car.
They suffered injuries and were taken to the West Demerara Regional Hospital where Odessa Howard was pronounced dead on arrival and Peter Howard was referred to the GPHC.
The driver of the motor car is in police custody assisting with the investigations.
