President David Granger was on Wednesday presented with a trophy, which GINA says has an enormous amount of significance to former motor cyclist racer, and chief race starter 81- year-old Pat Holder
Holder, according to GINA, said he won the trophy when he was just 14 years old and it was one of the most challenging races, in his career as a racer.
According to Holder, he though it fitting to present the trophy to the new Head of State as his way of congratulating the President on his victory in the May 11 General and Regional Elections.
Holder began racing motor cycles in the 1950s. In 1962 he started a career as chief starter for races, a position that he gave up in 1998.
