At about 0230h. today, the police say that two men, one of whom was armed with a handgun, entered the home of Gowkarran Rampersaud, 46 years, of New Providence Scheme, EBD, through an open door, and held him at gunpoint.
They demanded cash and valuables but after not getting anything significant they shot the victim to his left foot and escaped, police said.
Rampersaud has been admitted to hospital.
