Three men were set free and placed on a bond after the charge of stealing $1.3 million in items was dismissed against them.
Fayad Amin, Murvin Blackman, and Loris Musidin pleaded not guilty yesterday at the Georgetown Magistrates’ Court 2.
Amin, 27, a miner, of 5 Meadow Bank, Georgetown; Blackman, 24, a driver, and Musidin, 28, a miner, were accused of stealing a generator valued $800,000; an electric plane valued $70,000; two drills valued $148,000; a jig saw valued $40,000; two compressors valued $96,000; a microwave valued $15,000; a vacuum valued $65,000; a DVR, $60,000; two nail guns, $90,000, and a toolkit at $6,000, property of Keith Munesar.
The prosecution stated that the items were returned and Munesar opted not to offer any evidence against the three men.
Magistrate Ann McLennan dismissed the charge and placed them on a 12-month bond each to keep the peace. Failure to abide by the bond will result in 6 months’ imprisonment.
