(The Sports Xchange) – Dwyane Wade will remain in Miami after accepting a one-year, $20 million contract offer from the Heat, according to reports.
The All-Star guard sparred with the team the past few weeks over a new deal before coming to terms on Thursday. The contract can’t be finalized under NBA rules until July 9.

Tim Duncan will return for a 19th season with the San Antonio Spurs, and he might get some help in free-agent center LaMarcus Aldridge.
Duncan, 39, talked with coach Gregg Popovich on Wednesday in Los Angeles, where they were part of a Spurs crew that also met with Aldridge, according to the San Antonio Express-News. Duncan told the newspaper on Thursday that he will return.

Without incentives, the base contract is a four-year, $45 million pact. Asik can kick in a fifth year and additional $15 million through performance and playing time escalators.
