Athletes get ready, the Ministry of Education’s Department of Sports will team up with the Athletics Association of Guyana to stage a pre-CARICOM Day relay meet at the National Park on Sunday.
The event which runs off from 16:00hrs, will see male and female junior and male and female Over-50 athletes competing for honours.
There will be rewards for the top three teams, while there will also be individual and special prizes up for grabs. No entrance fee for athletes will be charged.
Sunday’s activities will take the form of team races with each team allowed five persons.
