The Tourism and Hospitality Association of Guyana (THAG) has re-elected co-founder Shaun McGrath to serve a second term as president.
Andrea de Caires, Director of Karanambu Lodge and Mitra Ramkumar, Finance Comptroller, Roraima Airways Inc were re-elected to serve as vice president and treasurer, respectively, when THAG held its AGM on Tuesday at Cara Lodge
THAG said in a press release that in his address to the membership, McGrath, who is also CEO of the Cara Hotels (Guyana and Trinidad), outlined his plans to enhance services offered to members, address advocacy concerns and growing the membership. He also pledged to address work not completed during the first term in office.
He thanked Ram and McRae, auditors to the association, the past and present executive and the membership for their continued support.
The committee members are: Kevin Daby, General Manager of Grand Coastal Hotels; Annette Arjoon-Martins, Marketing Manager, Air Services Limited; Jacqueline Allicock, CEO, Surama; and Teri O’Brien, General Manager of Wilderness Explorers. Kit Nascimento, Managing Director of Public Communi-cations Consultants Limited, will serve as immediate past president, the release added.
