Following more than six months of inactivity the Guyana Chess Federation (GCF) will be staging its first tournament for the year.
According to a press release the GCF will stage a one-day, Rapid Play (Blitz) tournament tomorrow at the National Resource Center, Woolford Avenue, Georgetown.
The seven-round, Swiss system tournament, will have a time control of 15 minutes per player.
Registration commences at 9am and play will get underway approximately one hour later, the release stated.
A registration fee of $500.00 will be charge per player and interested persons can contact GCF president Irshad Mohamad on 664-1650 or Ronuel Greenidge on 657-7543.
