A taxi driver was yesterday released on $2M bail after he denied a charge of causing death by dangerous driving.
Seon Greene, of Lot 59 Russell Street, Charlestown, pleaded not guilty to the charge when he appeared before city magistrate Judy Latchman.
It was alleged that on May 31st, 2015, at Sandy Babb and Railway streets, Kitty, Greene drove HC 4276 in a manner dangerous to the public, thereby causing the death of Mohamed Khan.
No further details about the charge were presented in court by Prosecutor Vishnu Hunt, who did not object to bail.
Greene’s attorney made an application for bail to be granted in reasonable sum during her brief submissions.
Bail was granted with the condition that Greene report to the officer-in-charge of the Kitty Police Station every Friday from July 10th. The matter will be called again on July 27th.
