The 168 students who excelled at the recent National Grade Six Assessment will each receive a tablet, following a proposal by Minister of Education Dr Rupert Roopnaraine.
According to Minister of State Joseph Harmon, Cabinet approved the acquisition of the 168 computers to be distributed to the students, when it met on Tuesday. This distribution, he said, is expected to take place all across Guyana, meaning that students from across Guyana will be “suitably rewarded for their excellence at these examinations.” He said Cabinet has been assured that the ministry is doing all that it can to ensure that the young people of the country are provided with tools to have better access to information so that they can perform even better in their future examinations.
