Fitness fans get ready, Fitness Paradise’s annual Gym Expo returns to Pegasus’ Savannah Suite on Sunday.
According to a release, this year’s event will be one with a difference as Gym Expo 2015 celebrates the recently established link between Fitness Paradise Gym of Guyana and Studio Body Shape of Paramaribo, Suriname.
According to the terms of the agreement members of either gym automatically become members of the partner gym and can train on complimentary basis at the partner gym.
Gym Expo 2015 will feature participants from both Fitness Paradise Gym and Studio Body Shape of Suriname. The events include the Mr. Expo Bodybuilding in two classes and the Mr. Expo Hot Body. Ladies will be seen in the Miss Expo Bikini and Miss Expo Best Legs. Jermaine Karg and Daes Burgzorg of Studio Body Shape will be competing in the Mr. Gym Expo Bodybuilding and the Mr. Expo Hot Body contest respectively. Shirley Parta and Margaretha Vrede will be taking part in the special fashion sequences that feature clothing by front line fashion designer Olympia Small.
The Gym Expo has so far attracted some key sponsors which includes GT&T, Southland Inc., Fitness Express, China Trading, The Trophy Stall and John Lewis Styles. The event starts at 7.00 pm sharp and will be declared open by Dr. Karen Pilgrim Vice President of the Guyana Olympic Association. Part of the proceeds of the event will go towards the Guyana Paralympic Association to support the activities of that body.
