(Barbados Nation) Barbados is one step closer to a national shutdown this week as both the Customs and the Immigration departments have been officially joined in the National Union of Public Workers’ (NUPW) protest action.
After more than three hours of meetings on Monday with hundreds of its members – taken from the Sanitation Service Authority (SSA), Ministry of Health, Customs, Immigration and more – at its Dalkeith, St Michael headquarters, NUPW acting general secretary Roslyn Smith told the media what the next step was going to be.
