Dear Editor,
I have read that the GuySuCo is tendering a 15 year plan for the sugar industry, which must be subsidized, and giving the reasons for it failures.
How did the government arrive at a 15 year plan and not a 5 year or 10 year plan, considering the world market price for sugar and the failure of this industry? What type of analysis was used in such a short time by the new government, especially considering that two of the previous CEOs are now addressing this issue with a Commission of Inquiry?
Yours faithfully,
Joe Persaud
