A Linden man arraigned on a break and enter charge was yesterday refused bail when he appeared in a Georgetown court.
Jermain Anderson, 29, denied the charge that was read to him by Magistrate Ann McLennan at the Georgetown Magistrate’s Court 2.
The charge stated that Anderson, between July 6 and July 7, at Christianburg Linden, broke into the storeroom of Ronelle Parris and stole a quantity of beverages and cooking oil, worth a total $34,000.
Prosecutor Neville Jeffers’s objections to bail, on the grounds of the seriousness and prevalence of the crime, were upheld and Anderson was remanded to prison until July 22nd, when the matter will be heard at the Linden Magistrate’s Court.
