One of the Caribbean’s premier bodybuilders, Hoskin Worrell has brought his award-winning physique to Guyana.
The Barbadian muscleman arrived on Thursday evening ahead of tomorrow night’s Senior Bodybuilding Champion-ships at the Park Vue Hotel and Lounge where he will entertain patrons with a “tremendous performance.”
“Exoticness, break dancing and a little up tempo turn up” was how Worrell described his planned routine yesterday to Stabroek Sport.
Worrell, 50, said he will be clad in a red, leather posing trunks and the fans can expect a “tremendous performance from me.”
Despite his short stature, the 5-foot, 4-inch mass of striated muscle has an impressive resume’.
The Bajan is a 16-time (consecutively) winner of the welterweight class at the CAC Bodybuilding Championships.
‘Biscuit’ as he is affectionately called has also posed and flexed his way to numerous titles which include Mr. Barbados, Mr. Bridgetown, Mr. St. Michael and Mr. Darcy Beckles (six times).
He is also the winner of the Sports World Invitation Classic (welterweight) and did we mention 16-time CAC welterweight champion?
“With his chiseled arms, deltoids, glutes, back and legs, this bodybuilder stands out with his symmetrical physique,” said president of the GBBFF, Keavon Bess.
Meanwhile, for the first time on the senior stage, the Men’s Physique segment will be contested along with the customary bodybuilding categories, Ms. Bikini and Ms. Body Fitness categories.
The championships starts at 19:00hrs and admission is listed at $1500.
The Park Vue Hotel and Lounge is located at Farm, E.B.D, about 10 minutes’ drive outside the city’s metropolitan area.
