The Management of the Guyana Revenue Authority (GRA) says it sees it necessary at this time for Senior Managers who would have accumulated leave over the years to be allowed to proceed on same in an effort to guarantee better management.
As such, a statement this evening from the GRA said that all Senior Managers of the Authority who have deferred annual leave will begin proceeding on their leave with effect from July 21, 2015. However, the release said some Senior Managers will have their leave staggered in order to facilitate continuity of the Agency’s operations.
Additionally, it said that contrary to reports circulating as it relates to the Commissioner-General, Khurshid Sattaur proceeding on annual leave, it said it should be noted that Sattaur requested his annual leave and this was subsequently granted.
The Guyana Revenue Authority said it wishes to assure the general public that this decision will not hinder the services provided to the public.
