National cyclist Alanzo Greaves continues to make waves since returning to the US circuit following his second place finish at the National Championships.
Greaves, who returned to North America two weeks ago, has racked up three top 10 finishes including a victory in his last three races.
According to Greaves, he won Tuesday night’s 35-mile criterium event at the Floyd Bennett Field in Brooklyn, placed second last Thursday at the same venue and ninth last Saturday in a 50-mile fixture at Prospect Park.
He also told Stabroek Sport yesterday that he will race again on tonight and on Sunday.
Greaves who races for the Team Mengoni outfit, say that his aim is to use the international events to peak when he represents Guyana at the Caribbean Cycling Championships in Barbados in October.
The 26 year-old has been a dominant force on the local cycling scene for years and proved his in 2013 when he was the most successful rider, racking up 22 wins.
The talented cyclist has also represented the Golden Arrowhead on numerous occasions.
