Four hundred thirty three persons, mostly young women graduated from the vocational skills training programmes of the Ministry of Education, Department of Culture, Youth and Sport’s Youth Entrepreneurial Skills Training (YEST) Programme.
GINA said that a graduation ceremony for the students was held this morning at the National Cultural Centre, Georgetown. The graduating students were drawn from centres across Guyana; 212 students from the training centre at Kuru Kuru, 167 from Sophia and another 54 from the Vryman’s Erven Training Centre. This was the largest single graduation class that the programme has ever had.
