Four hundred thirty-three persons youths graduated from the vocational skills training programmes of the Ministry of Education, Department of Culture, Youth and Sport’s Youth Entrepreneurial Skills Training (YEST) Programme.
The Government Information Agency (GINA) said a graduation ceremony for the students, most of whom were young women, was held yesterday morning at the National Cultural Centre, Georgetown. The graduating students were drawn from centres across Guyana; 212 students from the training centre at Kuru Kuru, 167 from Sophia; and another 54 from the Vryman’s Erven Training Centre. This was the largest single graduation class that the programme has ever had.
