The hearing of the action brought by former judge Jainarayan Singh seeking pension and gratuity, which he contends is owed to him, is set to commence on August 11th before Justice Nareshwar Harnanan.
At an in-chambers hearing yesterday at the High Court in Georgetown, attorney Prithima Kissoon of the Attorney General’s Chambers was granted a two-week adjournment for preemptory hearing.
Counsel also requested that the former judge write formally to the new Attorney General Basil Williams and highlight the issues in the case to him.
