Eleven people have been charged with the murder of Dana Seetahal SC and will appear in court tomorrow.
The announcement was made yesterday at a press conference by Deputy Police Commissioner Glenn Hackett. Police Commissioner Stephen Williams was also present.
The 11 who have been charged are: Rajaee Ali, 29; Ishmael Ali, 30; and Stephen Cummings 33, all of Carapo, Arima; Garrett Wiseman of Lange Park, Chaguanas; Leston Gonzales, 25; Devon Wiseman, 29; and Hamid Ali, 24, all of Malabar, Arima; Ricardo Stewart, 30, of Arima; Earl Wolfe Richards, 48; and Kevin Parkinson, 28, of Waterhole, Cocorite; and Rougier Boucher.
Imam Yasin Abu Bakr is one of five who have been released without charge. The others are: Imam Hassan Ali of Malabar, Keston Seales of Carapo and Keidon Forde and Keston Modeste of Arima.
Meanwhile, Dion Peters, 35, Malabar and Calcutta Road, Carapo; David Hector, 35, of Bon Air Gardens, Arouca and Stacy Griffith, 29, Carapo, Arima have been charged under the Anti-Gang Act with being members of a gang. Griffith is also charged with committing an act benefiting a gang.
Rajaee Ali was also charged with being a gang leader and all the murder accused are charged with being gang members.
