In the July 25th edition of Stabroek News under the headline `Guyana still hoping for regional consensus on Commonwealth SG candidate’, it was erroneously reported that Ronald Sanders was no longer in contention for the post. Sanders had withdrawn his name from consideration in December last year but Antigua and Barbuda Prime Minister Gaston Browne was subsequently able to persuade him to reconsider his decision and his name was resubmitted. Stabroek News regrets the error.
