My experience at the passport office today was a good one. I wish to commend the Immigration Department of the GPF for efficiently processing passport applications.
The young officers managing the systems were courteous, and they knew what they were about. By my count, they were processing 50 applications per hour.
While waiting my turn, a suggestion came to mind: since the processing rate is known, an online system could be set up to issue appointment tickets and to monitor and keep track of appointments.
