A youth is now nursing a wound to his neck after being chopped by a teenager on Friday.
Osafo Collins, 20, of 66 West Sideline Victoria, East Coast Demerara, was allegedly chopped by a 14-year-old, called ‘Bad Boy.’ According to an eyewitness, the two boys were gambling, which ended with ‘Bad Boy’ owing Collins $500. He refused to settle the debt and an argument ensued. “He [Bad Boy] seh he going home and come back and when he return he had a cutlass in he hand. But I din expect he to chap me so I turn around to walk away and that’s when he do it,” Collins told Stabroek News. He was chopped to the back of his neck.
Collins said his teenage assailant is known in the neigbourhood for picking trouble. Collins is currently in stable condition at the Georgetown Public Hospital.
