The Rose Hall Town Youth & Sports Club (RHTYSC), recently received a massive boost via a financial contribution from the Calcutta Sports Club of Freeport, Central Trinidad.
According to a release, Vice President of the Trinidad based National League Two teams Mr. Naushad Mohamed paid a surprise visit to the RHTYSC’s Area “H” Office and handed over a donation to the club’s Youth Development Programmes.
Mohamed, in handing over the donation, stated that the Trinidad-based club was very impressed with the work of RHTYSC, especially its Youth Development Programmes directed to youngsters in Region 5 and 6, as his club followed the activities here in Guyana.
Eon Hooper, a first-division player from RHTYSC, also represented the Calcutta Sports Club and Mohamed described him as a remarkable sport ambassador and outstanding cricketer on and off the cricket field. Mohamed, a long serving cricket official in the Twin Island Republic, pledged his club’s continued assistance to the local club.
Club Secretary/CEO Hilbert Foster accepting the financial donation expressed gratitude to Mohamed and his club. The donation is to be used to purchase school bags and footwear for less fortunate students in Region 6. He also congratulated Hooper for his positive representation of the club.
