South Ruimveldt Park resident Seretse Nievelder, who refused to stop his vehicle when suspected bandits pulled up alongside him, is now an admitted at the Georgetown Public Hospital after he was shot to his foot.
Nievelder, 29, was rushed to the hospital after the attack and he remained up to late yesterday afternoon in the recovery room after undergoing surgery.
The police, in a press statement on the shooting, said Nievelder was shot on Sunday evening while he was driving a car along Camp Street. Two men drove up alongside him on a motorcycle and demanded that he stop the vehicle, police said, but Nievelder refused and the pillion rider shot him to his right foot and the men rode off.
