A utility post was partially destroyed last night after a police vehicle lost control and crashed into it.
According to several eye witnesses, the police van was traveling at a fast rate east along Church Street around 10:30PM when it lost control and hit the post next to Bonny’s Supermarket. The impact of the vehicle on the post left it cracked and leaning towards the supermarket. The electrical lines were also dislodged and as a result parts of the area were left in darkness.
While there were several persons in the vehicle, no one was injured.
