Fyzabad Secondary u-19 female side ended their two-day tour of Guyana unbeaten, downing Lady Divas by a 3-0 margin in their final matchup on Sunday at the Tucville Community Centre ground.
Fresh off her hat-trick in their opening game, Denecia Prince led the winners with a second half double in the 58th and 81st minutes while Shanaqua Lewis completed the hard-fought win in the 78th minute.
As a result of the win, the Fyzabad Secondary u-19 female team ended their tour with a perfect 2-0 record. The first half period witnessed both sides struggling to fashion any clear-cut opportunities due to the physical nature of the contest.
Cindy McPherson recorded the only threatening effort for Lady Divas in the 15th minute, directing her header wide of the right side after collecting a right-sided cross within the penalty box.
On the other end, Prince was the main threat for the visitors and sent an early warning in the 24th minute as a powerful right footed strike from 24 yards out in the centre of the field, flew narrowly wide of the left corner.
Scoreless heading into the second stanza, the nature of the contest would be altered as Jennell Brown of Lady Divas was shown a red card in the 54th minute for intentionally kicking at her opponent.
Fyzabad quickly capitalised on their numerical advantage as Prince broke the deadlock four minutes onward, racing away to latch onto a through pass, before finishing past the advancing keeper following a one-on-one situation.
She almost made it 2-0 in the 71st minute as her curling right-footed free kick from 24 yards out in the centre of the field, was tipped around the left upright by the keeper.
Nonetheless, the Trinidad and Tobago unit doubled their lead seven minutes later as Lewis scored, skipping past two defenders just outside the box before lashing her effort past the keeper into the left hand corner after being in a one-on-one situation.
Prince then sealed the win three minutes onward, cutting in from the right side of the field into the penalty area, before finishing her right-footed attempt through the legs of the keeper and down the middle of the goal.
