Suspected granny killer caught

Following days of surveillance and careful planning, police yesterday arrested the prime suspect in the murder of 77-year-old Montrose caretaker Danrasie Ganesh and the man told investigators that one of the woman’s relatives hired him to carry out the brutal crime.

Long term solution needed for housing GRA

Although the current headquarters of the Guyana Revenue Authority (GRA) have been deemed as “sufficiently safe” for continued occupation, board chairman Rawle Lucas says a long term solution for housing the agency’s operations is necessary.

Guyana females crowned Caribbean Squash Champs

With Guyana’s male team failing to defend their title, the female unit did not disappoint and retained their crown, downing Barbados 3-2 in the finale of the Caribbean Squash Association Championships Team Tourney which concluded in the Cayman Islands yesterday.
