The National Assembly will be going into a one-month recess beginning September 10th.
A motion for the recess, moved by Prime Minister Moses Nagamootoo, was passed at a sitting of the House yesterday.
The motion stated that unless there are special reasons that it be agreed that there would be no sitting of the National Assembly from September 10th to October 10th.
Government postponed the annual parliamentary recess, which usually runs from August 10th to October 10th, in order to cater for the presentation and consideration of the late national budget.
The budget debate and the consideration of the estimates, concluded in the wee hours of Thursday morning.
