Election season for the Guyana Football Federation (GFF) is on the horizon as the Normalization Committee is reportedly considering the month of November for the Electoral Congress.
According to sources close to the federation, the Normalization Committee is considering November 14th as the date to hold elections to install a new executive body.
The deadline for the six weeks’ notice for GFF Elections to be held in the initially mandated month of September has already elapsed and this translates to the entity more than likely seeking an extension from FIFA, the sources added.
Member associations have reportedly been asked by the committee if the constitutional reform process can finish before that date so that can extension can be requested from FIFA in order for a date for the GFF Elections to be set. Upon the completion of the affiliates’ reform procedure,
