A policeman has been discharged from the George-town Public Hospital (GPHC) after he was involved in an accident on Friday night on the Timehri Public Road, East Bank Demerara (EBD).
He has been identified as police constable Keshawn Griffith attached to the Madewini Police outpost.
Stabroek News understands that the accident occurred around 22:15 PM on Friday near Bounty Farm, Timehri, EBD, after Griffith who was heading back to the Madewini Police outpost, where he is stationed, lost control of a police car he was driving. The car reportedly toppled several times before it landed causing Griffith to fall on the road. He was the only occupant of the vehicle.
He sustained injuries to his head and other parts of his body and was rushed to the Diamond Diagnostic Centre but was later transferred to the GPHC.
