Ministry of Education/Department of Culture, Youth & Sports Physical Education Instructor Seon Erskine, who, represented Director of Sport, Christopher Jones, told the youngsters that not having the right attitude could affect their chances of making representatives national teams despite their talent.
“Don’t waste this opportunity and don’t let anyone tell you that sports can’t take you anywhere and to focus all of your time on academics,” said Erskine.
“Those people who say that don’t know the true benefits of sports. Don’t forsake your education but try to be a balanced person by getting involved in sports,” he added. Some 62 players registered for the camp, with some ninety percent receiving the Ministry of Education, Department of Culture, Youth & Sport, National Sports Commission Certification of Participation and GTTA Certification of Achievement Bronze Award, the release added.
