The Ministry of Communities Twenty20 hardball Inter-Ministry cricket competition will get underway today at the Demerara Cricket Club (DCC) ground.
Teams from Housing/Water and Agriculture/Tourism will be in action this evening at the DCC Complex, Lance Gibbs and New Garden Streets, Queenstown.
The match will be played under floodlights commencing at 7pm and Minister Keith Scott will bowl off the first delivery to signal the start of the game. The Housing/Water Super Kings Team will include Ramchand Jailal (Captain), Omar Narine (vice-captain), Harold More, Casey Hickery, Naeem Khan, Motie Naraine, Ramkumar Ramnarine, Khemraj Persaud, Kenroy Pilgrim, Jason Goodhart, Avinash Parsram, Troy Trotman and Keron Archer.
The combined Agriculture/ Tourism ministries team will come from Christopher Vandeyar, Seon Simpson, Vickram Deonarine, Arian Griffith, Rayadh Ali, Dhaneshwar James, Quincy Gordon, Rondel Nedd, Scion Richardson, Davindra Singh, Dhaneshwar Deonarine and Orlando Headley.
According to a press release, Minister Scott said that the initial foray will mark the commencement of regular ministerial staff interaction involving both indoor and outdoor activities aimed at boosting morale and helping to contribute towards the development of a healthy work ethic and better interpersonal relationships.
