The Texila American University (TAU) and the Davis Memorial Hospital (DMH) recently signed a memorandum of understanding to establish a working relationship for the provision of clinical education and training for nursing students.
In a press release, TAU said it will be responsible for and will control and deliver the teaching and training of nursing students by providing curriculum guidelines with goals and objectives and competent faculty for the planning and implementation of instruction, teaching, guidance, supervision, and evaluation of the nursing students.
It added that the faculty and nursing students will be working in accordance with all of the DMH’s standards, procedures and policies in making plans for observation and/or practice in nursing.
The cooperation is aligned with the university’s vision and objectives that ensure that students are well equipped academically and vocationally when they enter the labour market, the release added.
