An army of 10 of Guyana’s premier musclemen and women is scheduled to represent the nation at the 43rd CAC Bodybuilding and Fitness Championships in the Bahamas next month.
While many fitness enthusiasts and gym goers may be familiar with their faces and award winning physiques, many readers are not.
Kerwin Clarke (light heavyweight) , Devon Davis (flyweight), Alisha Fortune (Ms. Body Fitness) , Emmerson Campbell (Men’s Physique), Marlon Bennett (lightweight), Junica Pluck (Ms. Bikini), Zalim Bacchus (132lbs), Rashleigh Bentick (143lbs), Mahendra Singh (165lbs) and Sylvester Andrews (over 176lbs) are the athletes shortlisted to represent Guyana at the championships.

Background of the Championships.
The 43rd (CAC) Bodybuilding & Fitness Championships, set for September 24-27 at the Melia Nassau Beach Resort in The Bahamas.
Organizers have announced that the event, which showcases categories in bodybuilding, figure, bikini, fitness and physique, will be as grand as ever.
Over 400 athletes from 41 countries are expected to participate in the Championships. Officials say the teams are expected to bring with them 1,500 to 2,000 persons in total. The Bahamas has won the overall title eight times and this is the sixth time the event is being hosted in that country.
