Shanzin Khan, the businessman who was involved in an accident last month was on Monday discharged from the High Dependency Unit (HDU) of the Georgetown Public Hospital (GPH).
He is currently home with his family but still has to have regular check-ups with doctors.
Khan, 47, of Lot 181 Lusignan Public Road, East Coast Demerara, and the owner of the Discount Palace was knocked off his CBR motorcycle on August 22 and sustained a head injury.
His wife, Annette Khan, had told Stabroek News that her husband left home on a CBR motorcycle to transact business in Georgetown and it was while he was on his way that the driver of a car hit the bike. Khan was picked up in an unconscious state and taken to the hospital by the driver. During his admittance he was a patient at the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) before being transferred to the HDU.
