Payments are currently being made by the security firm in charge of safeguarding the Guyana Revenue Authority (GRA) warehouse over two months after the firm had accepted full liability for $6 million in foreign liquor that was stolen in May, head of GRA Khurshid Sattaur has said.
The GRA had said in a press release issued on May 28, that approximately $6 million in foreign liquor was stolen from its warehouse and surveillance footage had implicated members of the PGS security firm guarding the facility.
The liquor was discovered missing on May 13 but the GRA only disclosed the theft on May 27,
