Beverley Persaud, the wife of murdered Herstelling carpenter Nathan Persaud, was yesterday remanded to prison after being charged with the crime.
Persaud, 46, of 56 Diamond New Scheme, was charged in a city court with murdering her husband on September 10, pursuant of an arrangement where money was promised to a man called ‘Jason’ as compensation for the death of the deceased.
The defendant was not required to plead to the indictable charge.
Magistrate Ann McLennan, who presided over the arraignment,
