Four of Guyana’s International Federation of Association Football (FIFA) accredited referees departed local shores Sunday to officiate in the group stage of the renowned CONCACAF Champions League tournament.
The match which will be staged today at the RFK Stadium in Washington DC,
will be contested between home side DC United and Panamanian outfit CD Arabe Unido. FIFA Referee Sherwin Moore, Assistant Referees Venton Mars and Trevor Porter as well as Fourth Official Sherwin Johnson will be tasked with the aforementioned fixture, which will aired live on Fox Sports 2 on the Fox Sports Network.
This appointment is third international outing in two month months for Moore who officiated alongside Mars during the month of August in the final round of the Olympic Qualifiers in Haiti for the Caribbean Zone. Moore during the month of July also featured in the Pan American Games held in Canada.
