Kindly permit me space to respond to a letter published in your newspaper dated September 16, 2015 titled, ‘Lands and Surveys has not activated sub-offices.’
Contrary to what is implied by the letter writer, Mr Jagnarine Somar, please be advised that the Guyana Lands and Surveys Commission has ten sub-offices throughout Guyana which are fully functional. Clients of the commission are, however, advised to be patient since the processing of applications for land is an involved process which takes time because each application needs to be reviewed and processed individually.
If Mr Somar has any issue which he needs to have clarified or answered, this may done at the regional office, or alternatively at the GL&SCs head office at 22 Upper Hadfield Street, D’Urban Backlands, Georgetown, in writing or via telephone number 22-72582.
