The police found drugs in a house in the North West District on Wednesday night after a shootout with the suspected drug traffickers.
According to a police press release, at around 8.30 pm, acting on information received that armed men were seen in Powis Landing area, at Five Star Backdam, North West District, police went to a house where they came under fire from the suspected men.
The ranks returned fire and the men subsequently ran out of the building and escaped. After a thorough search of the house, 550 grammes of marijuana and 40 grammes of cocaine were found, police added.
