The Department of Culture of the Ministry of Education in collaboration with the private sector held the inaugural Champion of Champions Calypso competition last week, at the National Cultural Centre. The event saw performances by seven former monarchs who were competing for the grand prize of a car, the second prize of a trip to Arrow Point, the third prize of a scooter, and the fourth prize of a freezer. The winner of the competition was King Perai and the presentations of the awards will take place on October, 15 at the Marriott Hotel.
