General Secretary of the Guyana Football Federation (GFF) Normalization Committee Richard Groden will officially demit on office tomorrow paving the way for assistant General Secretary Diedre Davis to assume the role.
The Trinidad and Tobago native replaced Mabiola Howards as the General Secretary shortly after the Normalization Committee was installed. He will now be replaced by his assistant.
Following is the release from the GFF.
“Richard Groden’s tenure as the General Secretary of the Guyana Football Federation will come to an end on 30th September, 2015. Mr. Groden was scheduled to complete his services as General Secretary as originally scheduled for the life of the Normalistion Committee at the end of September, 2015.
Due to prior personal commitments, Mr. Groden will be unable to fulfill the extended deadline of 14th November, 2015 mandate of the Normalisation Committee. Ms. Diedre Davis will assume the role of General Secretary as of 1st October, 2015. Mr. Groden expresses thanks and gratitude to all who exhibited patience and provided support and clarity during his tenure as General Secretary.
He believes that there is still a lot to be achieved in the interest of football and urges those who will take over the reins of administration, at all levels, to proceed in a collective and inclusive manner to ensure the success that is necessary in the governance of the administration of football in Guyana.”
