Dear Editor,
As a PPP/C supporter I would like to point out that President David Granger has many positive character attributes. Bad character pulls down good character. Conversely, good character pulls up bad character. I hope that President Granger will use his positive character attributes (his strength of character) to pull up those around him and to pull Guyana upright.
I envisage a Guyana that is politically stable, economically stable (and prosperous) and socially stable. I do not want Guyana to regress to where it was 10 or 15 years ago. That is why it is necessary to build trust in society.
I suggest that President Granger be given the benefit of the doubt by Leader of the Opposition Bharrat Jagdeo during their dialogues, because of his many positive character attributes.
Dialogue to diffuse tension in society is what is needed between the government and the opposition to build trust.
