A man was yesterday released on bail after being accused of stealing a quantity of articles from a family friend.
Colin Klass was charged with stealing several pairs of foot wear valued $114,000, a curling iron valued $9,000, and a chair valued $10,000, property of Althea Squires. He was also charged with stealing a digital camera valued $58,000, property of Wallace McRae, a combined value of $191,000.
The incident reportedly took place between September 26 and 28 at Squires’ house in South Ruimveldt.
According to the prosecution, the 49-year-old reportedly admitted to the police that he removed the items from the woman’s house.
Klass was subsequently released on $75,000 bail and is expected to make his next court appearance on October 19.
