Dear Editor,
Flight BW 903 arrived at the Piarco Airport from London just after 5pm on Wednesday, September 30th, 2015. There were passengers with onward connections to Guyana, Barbados and Venezuela.
Based on the monitor in the departure area, the flight to Guyana was scheduled for 9.05pm while the flight to Barbados was scheduled for 9.15pm.
Passengers heading to Guyana were however ushered directly into the departure lounge and subjected to an unnecessary security search.
With just under four hours to the flight, a chance for a hot meal in the airport was basically denied. But what strikes me is the fact that only the passengers heading to Guyana were singled out for this treatment.
This is unacceptable.
I am calling on the Guyanese authorities to fully investigate this matter.
Yours faithfully,
