A 14-year-old girl was yesterday charged with attempted murder.
The teen, who was released on $40,000 bail by Magistrate Zamilla Ally, is accused of stabbing a 16-year-old girl who went to her house to continue a fight they had earlier.
According to the police’s case against the defendant, an argument started between the two girls on October 12th, at Sophia, Georgetown.
A fight ensued soon after but they were parted and they went their separate ways.
The 14-year-old returned home and sometime later the victim turned up, armed with a piece of wood and bricks. Another fight ensued between the two girls, during which and the older girl was stabbed to her right side. She was rushed to the Georgetown Public Hospital and was admitted.
