A structure being erected at the corner of Robb and Camp streets where a Chinese General Store was reduced to ashes in July will be an addition to the Teleperformance call centre located opposite.
This was disclosed by Rizwan Khan, owner of the Teleperformance building and Discount Store on Regent Street. Khan said the structure is expected to be completed by next year end.
Recently the site was cleared of the rubble from the burnt building and immediately afterwards huge piles were brought which are being driven down as part of the foundational works.
On July 12, the 20,000 square foot building was razed by a fire which was reportedly caused by a gas leak.
The 50,000 square foot Teleperformance centre, which recently became operational after a six-month delay, has the capacity to house more than 1,500 employees.
